Privacy Policy

Summary

You can browse, stream and download every track on Portal Music without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we store your name, email address and saved music so your favorites, playlists and Pro membership follow you across devices. We never sell your information.

Information We Collect

If you don't sign in

We don't collect personal information. The following is stored only in your own browser and is never sent to us:

• Theme and volume preferences — saved in localStorage
• Recently played tracks — saved in localStorage for your convenience
• Favorites — saved in sessionStorage and cleared when you close the tab

If you create an account (Sign in with Google)

When you sign in, Google shares basic profile information with us, and we keep an account record containing:

• Your name and email address from your Google account
• Your Google profile photo link, shown in the site header
• A unique account ID assigned by our sign-in provider
• Account dates — when you created your account and last signed in
• Your favorites and playlists
• Your membership status (Free or Pro), subscription plan and renewal date, and how and when Pro was activated, along with notes we add to your account when you contact us about support or payment

We never receive or store your Google password.

How We Use Your Information

• To sign you in and keep you signed in
• To save and sync your favorites and playlists across your devices
• To provide Pro features and confirm your membership when you pay or redeem a code
• To respond when you contact us for help, and to prevent abuse of the site

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't send marketing emails. We only use your email address to identify your account and to reply if you write to us.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Account data is stored with Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) on servers in the United States. Access is restricted: you can only read and change your own account, and only the Portal Music administrator can view account records to provide support and manage memberships.

Keeping and Deleting Your Data

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from your Profile page, which removes your account record, favorites and playlists. You can also email creatitproductions@gmail.com to request a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, and we'll respond within 30 days.

You can also disconnect Portal Music from your Google account at any time in your Google Account settings.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe shares your email, a customer ID and your subscription status with us so we can turn Pro on or off on your account. We store your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, plan (monthly or yearly), subscription status and renewal date with your account. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase — account sign-in and storage for favorites, playlists and membership status. See Firebase Privacy. We also store anonymous usage counts there (for example "a track was downloaded" or "a visit came from a video link"), tied only to a random ID saved in your browser, never to your name, email or IP address. We use them to see which tracks and features people use.
• Advertising partners (such as Monetag) — display advertisements to non-Pro visitors and may use cookies or similar technologies to do so. We do not share your account name or email with advertisers.
• Cloudflare — delivers our audio and cover art files and may log technical information such as IP addresses. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits; it uses no cookies and doesn't track you across sites.
• GitHub Pages — hosts our website. GitHub may collect technical information such as IP addresses in server logs.

Cookies

Portal Music itself does not set advertising cookies. Our sign-in provider stores a login token in your browser so you stay signed in, and advertising partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads. By using this site, you consent to the use of cookies by these services. You can clear cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings.

Children's Privacy

Portal Music is not directed at children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
